Education on the ballot this November
The November midterm election is just a week away, and in Minnesota ballot measures affecting education will be prevalent for every voter in the state. Ada-Borup-West, and Win-E-Mac Superintendent Aaron Cook says one of the measures will affect funding for every school in the State of Minnesota.
While the dollar amount might not be super high for school districts, Cook says the extra funds can go a long way, as they can be used on almost anything.
Cook also encourages anybody who can to go and vote, as there are a number items on the ballot this year that will affect local education, whether it’s the ballot measure, a referendum or a school board seat.
You can view a sample of your ballot on the Minnesota Secretary of State website www.sos.mn.gov.
