Fosston Greyhound Football To Celebrate Halloween with Playoff Tailgate and Costume Contest

The Fosston Greyhounds are teaming up with the spirit of Halloween for a high-energy playoff celebration this Saturday. Fans and community members are invited to Thompson Field on October 31 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for the Fosston Greyhound Football Spooktacular, a festive event featuring tailgating and trick-or-treating ahead of the Greyhounds’ playoff matchup.

A highlight of the afternoon festivities is a community-wide costume contest open to all attendees who wish to participate. Competitors will vie for “Fosston Bucks” across two age divisions: grades K–6 and grades 7–12. Both divisions offer identical prizes, awarding $100 for first place, $50 for second place, and $25 for third place.

Organizers have issued safety and costume guidelines, noting that face-covering masks and inflatable “blow-up” costumes covering the face are strictly prohibited, though face paint is permitted. Anyone with questions regarding the Spooktacular or the contest rules can contact Liza at 218-556-4800.
