Sec 8A VB Blackduck at Fertile-Beltrami

Recap

comments from FB coach Maggie Coauette MaggieC 5511O

The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons were ready to get rolling from the word “go” and didn’t let up at all as the night went on, staying locked in through-out.  A 25-17 win in set 1, 25-19 win in set 2, and 25-14 win in set 3 netted the Falcons the clean sweep over a Blackduck squad that was 9-5 over their previous 14 games and brought a hot offense into the matchup.

Fertile-Beltrami had answers for everything the Drakes threw at them however. Even when Kiamiyah Dodd started to take command of the game (finishing with 14 kills) the Falcons were able to respond and found ways to keep the ball away from the Drakes top scorer.

Macy Petry was on another planet on this night, with 9 kills and 14 service points which included 3 aces, she was awarded the Enbridge Energy Player of the Game honors and was joined by teammates Miley Fladhammer and Mya Erickson as the stars of the game for the Falcons.

Fertile-Beltrami will now set their sights on Friday where they will host another postseason game and hope to keep a now 7 game winning streak going.
