Pequot Lakes’ largest lead was 2-0. Tied 2-2 in the 6th, Patriots’ Maci Martini got on with a one-out walk and came in to score the go-ahead run on a Rita Ganley infield hit. Pitcher Morgan Eckes, who also helped herself with a solo homer in the 4th, retired the final six Pillager batters.

Pequot Lakes now has an 8-game winning streak and will take their 15-4 record into a matchup with Pine River-Backus on May 27th.

Pillager falls to 9-10, and will play Monday against Royalton.
