Beaver Brae at Fort Frances Muskies

In a game heard on KGHS 1230 AM and 95.3 FM and rjbroadcasting.com on Friday night, the Fort Frances Muskie boys hockey team played Beaver Brae out of Kenora for the 2nd time in 9 days. The Muskies won the first game 8-1, but last night’s game was vastly different. Noah McPherson scored the only goal of the first period and it was a shorthanded marker. Beaver Brae tied it 7 and a half minutes into the second but Fort answered back on a blast from the point by Dylan Tessier to regain the lead after 2 periods. Beaver Brae scored just over a minute into the third to tie it at 2, but the Muskies answered with 3 goals by Nolan Mann, McPherson, and Ashton Barnes to win by a final of 5-2. The Muskies are 2-0 on the season and play St. Thomas Aquinas from Kenora on Thursday.
