Ada, MN — It’s taken more than four months, but Ada Police Chief Jody Bueng says he’s very close to returning back to patrol following a long battle with COVID-19. Bueng was hospitalized with the virus in late September and spent the next few months relying on oxygen to get him through the day. However, during a recent conversation on the KRJB Kaleidoscope Program, Bueng said he’s finally breathing much better and is looking forward to hitting the streets once again.

Bueng has been working on his lung capacity by utilizing occupational therapy. He notes that he would have much rather been back to work much sooner, but returning before he’s fully capable could have made him a liability in certain dangerous situations unique to law enforcement.
