Hillsboro School Board Purchases Land for Potential Build of New School
Hillsboro, ND — While the Hillsboro School District eagerly awaits recommendation from the ICON Architects on their facility assessment and how they should proceed, the district is being proactive in purchasing land for if or when they were to build a new school. At their regular monthly meeting on Thursday morning, March 10th, Hillsboro Superintendent Paula Suda says the board approved a purchase agreement to acquire 13 acres located to the south of the current Hillsboro Elementary.
Also at this week’s meeting, the school board approved the purchase of new, lightweight wrestling mats, according to Suda.
And under staffing items, the Hillsboro School Board accepted the resignation of an elementary teacher and approved hiring some additional spring coaches.
Superintendent Suda also reminded constituents that the deadline is approaching for those interested in running for school board this summer.
The next Hillsboro School Board meeting is scheduled for April 14th at 7:30am
