Cass Lake-Bena at Fertile-Beltrami

FERTILE, MN – Following their 55-43 loss to the Fosston Greyhounds, the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons came into Monday evening looking to right the ship against the Cass Lake-Bena Panthers. Thanks in-part to a concerted effort by the team’s senior leaderhip, the Falcons were able to pull away with the win, 78-62.

Leading the Falcons in scoring was senior Kasia Wilson with 32 points, who was active on the glass all night. Senior point guard Josie Iverson scored 18 points herself and set up her teammates throughout the night while orchestrating the offense. Senior Tori Erickson added 13 points of her own with plenty of boards all game long.

For the Cass Lake-Bena Panthers, sophomore Gabrielle Fineday was on a tear from beyond the arc, making five three-point shots on Monday night. Fineday finished her night with a game-high 38 points.
