Weird and Wacky Wednesday: “TSA Agents find dog in travelers luggage at Madison, WI Airport”

TSA agents at Dane County Regional Airport in Madison, Wisconsin say a traveler put their small dog in their luggage and put it through the X-ray machine at security. They say the dog’s owner never told the TSA or the airline that they were traveling with a dog. Agents were shocked when the pup showed up on the monitor. Fortunately the dog was unharmed. Just three weeks ago at New York’s JFK Airport, a cat was found inside a checked bag after it was sent through the X-ray machine. The TSA tweeted, “When traveling with any animal, notify your airline & know their rules. At the checkpoint, remove your pet from the bag and send all items, including the empty carrier, to be screened in the machine.”
