Thief River Falls, MN — The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons defeated the Blackduck Drakes in the first game of the day from Ralph Engelstad Arena on Saturday Morning.

The Falcons carried their hot shooting over from just one night ago immediately in Saturdays game. Josie Iverson had three first half three pointers to lead Fertile-Beltrami to a 38-15 lead at the break. In the second half though, the Drakes were able to limit their turnovers, 22 in the first half, and cut the deficit to as close as nine points. But the savvy senior heavy Falcons were able to balloon their lead late and win the game 63-39.

Fertile-Beltrami is now 5-2 on the year and will be at home on Tuesday the 20th against the Northern Freeze. Balckduck falls to 2-6 and won’t play until after the Christmas break where they will travel to Laporte.
