Region 1 Boys Basketball Tournament Semifinals

Central Cass held off the Hankinson Pirates in their 79-71 win in the Region 1 semifinals on Tuesday night.

Cole Holzer scored all of his 19 points in the second half, while Carter Vrchota added 19 points for Central Cass. The Squirrels (22-0 overall) are looking for their first state tournament appearance since 2012.

Cruz Hernandez had 27 points and 6 rebounds for the Pirates. Hankinson drops to 16-7 overall and will play for third place.
