Longtime KKIN Radio GM Bremner passes away unexpectedly at 76
Home-Grown Local Radio lost one of our own last week. Robert Boyd Bremmer, known as Boyd, was an Aitkin resident, community booster, and a member of the KKIN family even after his retirement in 2010. Boyd, an Illinois native, and his wife Colleen made their home in Aitkin in 1971 after a brief stint in North Dakota. After his retirement, Boyd remained active in the community on various committees and in local organizations. He died unexpectedly at the age of 76 on January 4, leaving behind Colleen and their children, grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. A Celebration of Life will be held at Malmo Evangelical Free Church in Malmo at 11 am on Saturday, January 14. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Red Cross.
