1st Annual Katie Brommenschenkel Vilmo Indoor Corn Hole Tournament Planned for February 18th
Halstad, MN — A new indoor corn hole tournament has been organized in memory of Katie Brommenschenkel Vilmo, a young farmer who was killed in a farm accident in 2018. It’s been scheduled for 3pm on Saturday, February 18th at the Halstad Legion Recreation Center. There has been a golf tournament in memory Katie in the past, but organizer Karen Brommenschenkel says they wanted to do something a little different, specifically in the winter when folks are less busy.
Brommenschenkel says this will be a family-friendly tournament with food, drinks, and raffles to go along with the 2-person team tournament.
Proceeds from the corn hole tournament will go towards a scholarship in Katie’s name for a student furthering their education in agriculture.
The cost to register is $50 per team and the deadline to register is February 1st. Email mcoauette@isd599.org to get your team registered.
