Mahnomen-Waubun at Win-E-Mac

Erskine, MN — The Win E Mac Patriots defeated the Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds on Tuesday afternoon 11-1 in six innings.

The game appeared as though it was going to be a pitchers duel as Patriots Braylon Hamre and Thunderbirds Logan Adams started the game and were both shooting strikes for the first three and a half innings. But in the bottom of the fourth, the Thunderbirds walked six Patriot batters and they would take advantage scoring six runs and taking a 7-1 lead. Win E Mac would score three more in the fifth and the one in the sixth to ten run Mahnomen/Waubun 11-1.

Win E Mac Pitcher Braylon Hamre, was outstanding as he allowed only 2 hits and struck out 13 over a complete game. Win E Mac is now 1-2 on the season and will be at Blackduck on Thursday. Mahnomen/Waubun falls to 0-2 and will host Walker-Hackensack-Akeley on Thursday.
