Lengby Improvement Club looking for members

The Lengby Improvement Club. more commonly known as the LIC, is in desperate need of members. A meeting of the LIC has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 2nd at 7:00 pm at the Lengby Community Center. The future of the club, its duties and its funds will be discussed at the meeting. The LIC has been in existence since 1915 and its main duty has been the care and upkeep of Spring Lake Park. The LIC celebrated its 100th year in 2015 with a parade, street dance, picnic and sold t-shirts and cookbooks. The LIC also serves a Memorial Day picnic every year. Due to a lack of quorum the LIC has not been able to hold an official meeting since August of 2022. Questions can be directed to Secretary Janet Arnold at (218) 668-2068.
