Fosston vs. East Grand Forks Sacred Heart

The Fosston Greyhounds forced a second “winner take all” championship game with the 6-1 win over East Grand Forks Sacred Heart in the Section 8A Tournament at Bemidji State. The Greyhounds built a 6-0 lead with one run in the first inning, two runs in the third and three runs in the fifth inning. EGF Sacred Heart scored their lone run in the sixth inning. Hudson Boushee tossed six quality innings on the mound and picked up the win for Fosston while Parker Erickson took the loss for the Eagles. Carsen Boushee came in to pitch the seventh inning for Fosston and struck out the side. Hudson Boushee and Brecken Levin each had two hits for Fosston as the Greyhounds improved their overall record to 20-4. Levin had two doubles for Fosston while Parker Ericson had two hits for EGF Sacred Heart. The Eagles fall to 17-6 with the loss. The two teams will play another championship game with the winner advancing to the State Baseball Tournament in St. Cloud next week.
