Ashton Larson drove in George Widman with what turned out to be the game winning hit in the bottom of the sixth inning as Crookston defeated Ada 1-0 in the elimination round of the Senior NW North Sub-State Legion Baseball Tournament in Warroad. Brennen Fetting and Al Longoria locked up in a great pitchers duel as both pitchers tossed complete games and allowed only two hits apiece. Ada left two runners on the second inning and left the bases loaded in the third inning. Longoria picked up the win on the mound for Crookston and retired 12 of the last 13 batters he faced. Beau Fetting and Brennen Fetting had the two hits for Ada Post #26. Crookston will now move on the Northwest Sub State Tournament beginning Thursday in Fosston. Ada ends their season with an overall record of 8-8.
