Ada Borup West was opportunistic and earned a big road victory on Friday night vs Red Lake County, defeating the Rebels 20-8 in Oklee, improving to 6-1 on the season.  The Cougars struck first late in the first quarter on an Austin Mccraven pass to Lance Kritzberger from 16 yards out, and adding a two point conversion, it was 8-0.  The Cougars scored again on a fourth and six when Austin Mccraven zig and zaged his way into the endzone from 26 yards out, it was 14-0 with 6:41 to play before halftime.  Ben Gullingsrud would find the endzone for Red Lake County a few minutes later, and it was 14-8 at halftime.  Turnovers would make the difference in the second half, and to begin the fourth quarter, Cameron Spaeth intercepted a pass from Owen Chervestad, and on the next play, Wyatt Larson ran into the endzone from 15 yards out, rounding out the scoring 20-8.  Red Lake County is 5-2 and will play at PCW on Wednesday.  Ada Borup West is 6-1 and will likely be the #2 seed in Section 8A, will host Red Lake on Wednesday.
