Disaster Assistance Available To MN Counties Affected By April Storms & Flooding
FEMA announced Thursday that federal disaster assistance will be available to several Minnesota counties affected by severe storms and flooding between April 11 and April 30. Counties in the region that are eligible are: Norman, Mahnomen, Clay, Kittson, Marshall and Roseau, as well as the Prairie Island Indian Community. Public assistance federal funding is available to the state, eligible local and tribal governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the severe storms and flooding.
