St. Michael’s and St. Joseph’s Churches welcome new priest 

St, Michael’s and St. Joseph’s Catholic Churches in Mahnomen welcomed a new priest on Sunday,  July 1. Fr. Andrew Obel will serve the St. Michael’s and St. Joseph’s parishes alongside Fr. Dave Super as he prepares for retirement. Fr. Obel tells us a little about himself and his unique journey that started in his native country of Uganda. 

Fr. Obel also talked about the community and what he thinks of the area.

 Fr. Obel is expected to be confirmed as the priest of St. Micheal’s and St. Joseph’s church as well as the Superintendent of St. Michela’s Catholic Church on July 1 2024 when Fr. Super retires.
