DFL Rep. Dan Wolgamott Cited with Two DWI Misdemeanors
DFL Rep. Dan Wolgamott was cited with two DWI misdemeanors last month. The Kanabec County Attorney’s Office made the announcement Monday. The charges are for fourth degree driving while intoxicated and DWI-operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or more. The July 7 arrest came after Wolgamott was witnessed drinking in a liquor store parking lot, then weaving while driving a short time later. Wolgamott issued an apology in July, saying he accepted responsibility for his actions and asking his constituents for forgiveness. He later issued another statement, detailing steps he’s taken since his arrest including participating in a Mothers Against Drunk Driving victim panel and receiving certification for participating in an eight-hour level one alcohol education class.
