Valley City Appoints New Police Chief 

The City of Valley City appointed a new Chief of Police on Tuesday as  Nick Horner took the oath of office to become the next Police Chief. 

 Horner has worked for the police department for many years. Before taking the Chief of Police job he most recently served as a sergeant in the Valley City Police Department. 

The Valley City Commission approved of the appointment of Nick Horner on a 4 -1 vote, with Commissioner Jeff Erickson voting against the motion during the city’s commission meeting on October 3.
