Polk County Sheriff’s Office identify driver who crashed into Red Lake River
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has identified the driver of the vehicle that crashed into Red Lake River on Friday. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says that at approximately 2:00 am they, alongside the Crookston Police Department, responded to a report of a crash near the intersection of Houston Avenue and South Broadway in the City of Crookston. A witness reported that a vehicle had left the roadway near the north end of the Red Lake River bridge and had entered the river.
The Grand Forks County Dive Team were on the scene to help locate the vehicle in the river. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as 26 year old William Mark Tuseth of Crookston. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says that an autopsy is being performed and that they don’t suspect foul play. The vehicle recovered from the river is a 2010 Chevy Impala.
This investigation remains active and the sheriff’s office says that no further information is being released at this time.
