Mahnomen City Council Meets

MAHNOMEN, MN—Two properties in Mahnomen were declared public nuisances at Monday night’s Mahnomen City Council meeting.  A renter of an apartment on Southwest Main Street and the owner of a property on East Monroe Avenue were both sent a second notice from the City to clean up.  If the clean-up isn’t done by a certain date, the City will issue sanctions.  Mahnomen City Administrator Taylor Guenther says blighted properties need to be cleaned up.

Also at Monday night’s Mahnomen City Council meeting, the Council granted permission for a local dispensary to hold an Octoberfest style event in the dispensary parking lot later this month.
