Almost 200 Decomposed Bodies Found At CO Funeral Home
(Penrose, CO) — Almost 200 decomposed bodies were removed from a Colorado funeral home. The Fremont County Sheriff’s office originally thought 115 sets of remains were improperly stores in the Return to Nature Funeral Home in Penrose, but now say at least 189 were removed. The funeral home offers “green burials” in which the body isn’t cremated or embalmed. Colorado law says that green burials are legal, but remains not buried within 24 hours must be properly refrigerated.
Giraffe Damages Visitors’ Car At Texas Wildlife Attraction
(Glen Rose, TX) — A Texas family is dealing with thousands of dollars in damage to their car caused by a giraffe. Kari Hill and her family were visiting Fossil Rim Wildlife Center last week when they decided to feed a giraffe. Hill says the giraffe lost its balance and fell onto her windshield. The animal then started to panic and flail, finally doing more than 42-hundred dollars in damage to the car. Hill asked the park to refund her entry fee and help with her insurance deductible, but the park has a policy of taking no responsibility for damage to cars, property, or visitors.
