Hillsboro-Central Valley senior Jacob Brandt passed the 1000 point milestone for his high school career Thursday, but that got lost in the shuffle as Devils Lake rolled past the Burros 81-40 at the Central Valley School in Buxton.

Brandt needed three points going into the game to reach 1000 and two first quarter baskets put him past 1000.  He ended the night with 16 points.

Devils Lake’s defense bedeviled the Burros, forcing 22 turnovers.  Wylee Delorme scored a game high 24 points to lead the Firebirds to their 11th win in a row.  Mason Palmer added 11 points and Beau Brodina ten for Devils Lake.

Hillsboro-Central Valley is now 6-7 overall and 1-4 in Region 2 play.  The Burros play at Four Winds-Minnewaukan Saturday afternoon.

Devils Lake improves to 14-1 overall and 4-1 in Region 2.  The Firebirds host Four Winds-Minnewaukan Tuesday night.
