East Grand Forks at Thompson

It was a border battle at The Baake Tuesday night as Thompson hosted East Grand Forks in boys basketball action. It certainly was a battle as both teams exchanged the lead throughout the game with multiple ties in the second half. In the end Thompson pulled away, outlasting the Green Wave 65-59.

Drew Overby led the Tommies with 28 while Austin Rusling led the Green Wave with a double-double fifteen points and twelve rebounds. Thompson improves to 4-6 with the win while EGF falls to 4-7 with the loss. The Tommies get a much needed mini-break before a road trip to Langdon Area-Edmore-Munich on Monday. The Green Wave continue their six-game road swing at Fosston on Thursday.
