Fertile-Beltrami at Red Lake County Central

The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons jumped out to an 11-0 lead and never trailed as they won at Red Lake County Central 60-36 at Plummer. Tori Erickson led the Falcons with 22 points and 9 rebounds as Fertile-Beltrami improved to 5-3 overall. Madison Stueness added 15 points and 7 boards for Fertile-Beltrami. Carly Vettleson led Red Lake County Central with 11 points as the Mustangs fall to 1-8 overall. McKaelyn Frizzle scored 7 points and Natalee Hendrickson came off the bench to add 6 points for the Mustangs. The Mustangs were able to get within three points at 21-18 but Fertile-Beltrami answered with a 10-0 run and took a 31-22 lead into halftime. Fertile-Beltrami won the “B” Squad game 44-37. Both teams return to action on Thursday, January 4th with Fertile-Beltrami hosting Climax/Fisher and Red Lake County Central traveling to Mahnomen/Waubun (101.5 FM/YLE).
