Ada A’s Win Sixth In A Row
ADA, MN—
The Ada A’s won their sixth consecutive game Friday night, defeating Fosston 13-1 in 7 innings at Tony Sipe Field.
The A’s used two doubles, an error and a walk to take a 2-0 lead in the second inning. Fosston got on the board in the third inning as Bryer Strem scored on an Ada error.
Ada restored its two run advantage in the bottom of the third when Sunny Resnick scored on a wild pitch. Then the A’s broke the game open in the fourth with five runs–three coming in on a bases loaded double by Sunny Resnick–to make it a 8-1 lead. Ada added a single run in the fifth and four more in the sixth, as the A’s took advantage of two errors to go ahead 13-1. The game ended in the seventh inning on the ten run rule.
Zephyr Resnick was the winning pitcher, throwing a complete game. The right-hander allowed 6 hits, one run, one walk with 5 strikeouts.
Matt Morin took the loss for Fosston (1-5). He pitched a 6 inning complete game, allowing 14 hits, 13 runs (8 earned), 6 walks and 3 wild pitches.
Offensively, Sunny Resnick was 2 for 5 with 3 rbi, Jack Jones 3 for 3 with 2 rbi, Beau Fetting was 3 for 5 with a run batted in. Braiden Fetting also drove in 2 runs with 2 sacrifice flies.
Hudson Bouchee had 2 of Fosston’s 6 hits.
The Ada A’s are now 7-4 on the season with six straight wins. Ada returns to action Sunday night at 5 at Fergus Falls.
