The Ada-Borup-West Public School District, located in the heart of the Red River Valley in northwest Minnesota, is seeking Paraprofessionals for the 2026–2027 school year in both the Elementary School and High School. Position Summary

Paraprofessionals work under the direction of licensed teachers and administrators to support students in the classroom and throughout the school day. Responsibilities may include providing academic support, assisting students with behavioral and social-emotional needs, supervising students in various school settings, and helping create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to students individually and in small groups.
• Assist teachers with classroom preparation and daily instructional activities.
• Support students with academic, behavioral, social, and personal needs as directed.
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, transitions, and other school activities.
• Foster positive relationships with students while encouraging independence and success.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (MGDPA).
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to support student learning.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the educational program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.
• Ability to meet Minnesota paraprofessional requirements or willingness to obtain required qualifications.

• Salary: $15.91–$19.96 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience, per the district support staff negotiated agreement.
