Ada City Council gets updates on event center and Dekko Center, also eyeing dumpster ordinance
The Ada City Council met for their regular March meeting Tuesday night. Ada Mayor John Hintz says one of the first items on the agenda was a discussion with the city engineer in regards to a request order for the Ada Event Center project. Hintz tells us more.
Hintz says there was also an update given on the Dekko Community Center project, which is nearing completion.
Another item that was discussed was the implementation of a residential dumpster ordinance, and Hintz says the council decided to move forward in the adoption of an ordinance.
Lastly Hintz says the city re-upped their agreement with Northern Sates Power Company over energy services, and he did confirm a slight increase in pricing.
Other items included the approval of a contract with Crompton Flooring for flooring in the Event Center, an advertising agreement with the Norman County Raceway, and committee updates.
