Ada City Council Meets
The Ada City Council met in regular session Tuesday night— The council approved a storm sewer repair
project with accepting the $10,000 bid from Visser Trenching. The repairs are necessary due to “sink
holes” … The Council approved the purchase of a new Chevy Tahoe for the police department with
news of state aid dollars coming to the city for help with this purchase and safety equipment. The
council was informed of additional good news with the Fire Department receiving notification of a grant
approval for the purchase of new “turn out gear” for fire department members. The Ada City Council
also approved donation requests for the Ada Borup West Booster Club, National Night Out and Fun in
the Flatlands. The second readings for ordinances with Responsible Beverage Training and Service
Charges for Excessive False Alarms were also approved.
