Ada Fire Department sharing reminders for Fire Prevention Week

It’s fire prevention week, and in observance,  the Ada Fire Department is asking that all area families have a discussion about what to do if a fire breaks out in your home. Ada Fire Chief Glenn Visser explains.

A vast majority of house fires are preventable, and Visser also shares some safety measures that all homeowners should keep in mind.

While having a snake alarm is great , Visser says that for many homes, one smoke alarm is not enough.

R&J News will have more on Fire Prevention Week in future newscasts throughout the rest of the week.
