Advice to area seniors 

Today is the last day of school for many area school districts, and this weekend thousands of seniors across the Red River Valley will be walking across the stage to receive their high school diplomas, and taking the first step in their next stage of life. Over the last two weeks, R&J News have been asking area school administrators what advice they’d like to share with area seniors? Here are their answers. 

Mahnomen Superintendent Andrea Simon encouraged the Class of 2026 to take risks but stay connected. 

Ulen Hitterdal Superintendent Dustin Flaten encouraged the Class of 2026 to be uncomfortable. 

Norman County East Principal Kelly Kalina challenged area seniors to find their passion in life. 

Ada Borup West High School Principal Josh Carlson spoke about the importance of flexibility.
