Ag fire safety

As we continue our coverage of National Fire Prevention Week, Hillsboro Fire Chief Jamie Reed reminds us there’s also a danger of fire in agricultural fields….especially during harvest season.

You can also reduce the risk of fire to a barn by not using extension cords, having heat lamps and space heaters kept a safe distance from anything that can burn, and that feed, hay, straw and flammable liquids be kept away from the main barn.
