(Aitkin, MN) — A very active month of June with summer activity coupled with severe weather related more of our monthly conversation with Aitkin County Sheriff Dan Guida.

Sheriff Guida talked about the importance of staying informed with the latest information with summer bringing severe weather and how you can stay up-to-date with Aitkin County’s alert system.

The County’s criteria for sending out severe weather alerts comes down to harmful gusts of wind.

The amount of the rainfall received this spring and now summer dramatically increased the area’s water levels, which are now seeing steady decline as of late.

Sheriff Guida also talked about openings within the Sheriff’s Office for jailers and dispatchers.
