Aitkin County TZD meeting from March 15th

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin County Toward Zero Deaths Coalition held their monthly meeting on Tuesday as they prepare for events this Spring while releasing information on crashes across Minnesota.
Coordinator Amy Dotzler opened the meeting with a review of an open letter about TZD with the Aitkin Independent Age.
Talks of scheduling a Pedestrian Saturation this Spring to inform walkers and drivers of safety with the weather being more conducive for walking to your destination.
The Pedestrian Saturation will take place May 25th from 2-4pm. Dotzler also announced MNCrash has opened a website where the public can access information on car crashes across the State.
A link for the MNCrash website is available with this story. The Aitkin Police Department will host a “Responsible Beverage Service Training – Train the Trainer”course in May.
The course will be Wednesday May 18th at 5pm from the Aitkin Police Department Building. Members of the Aitkin County TZD will be attending the Northeast Minnesota TZD Workshop on May 11th taking place at the Northland Country Club. Law Enforcement will also be ramping up Distracted Driving saturations April 1-30 and Seatbelt saturation from May 23-June 5.
Aitkin County TZD will be on April 19th from the Aitkin Police Department and virtually.
