Area Crop Update 

Rain has been prevalent this week, and it may have an effect on area crops. Local producer Paul Johnson says he’s pleased with this wheat crop so far, but these recent rains do make him worry. 

As for soybeans, Johnson says the moisture is welcome, but he is fighting  iron deficiency chlorosis.

Lastly, Johnson gave us an update on his sugarbeet crop, as he has begun preharvest.
