Area Veteran recaps trip on Veterans Honor Flight

The Veterans Honor Flight of ND/MN took two planes of veterans to Washington DC on Sunday, April 20, and for some it was the trip of a lifetime. Donald Longtin, a veteran from Plummer Minnesota was one of the many veterans on the trip, and he tells us more about his history in the service. 

This was Longtin’s first time visiting Washington DC, and he tells us what he thought of the trip, and he also tells us about some of the stops they made. 

Longtin said one part of the trip that really stood out to him was the mail call that was held on the second night of the trip. 

Finally, Longtin tells us about a unique run in he had with another local veteran who was on the Honor Flight.
