Assistance with Healthcare Directives available at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center

(Crosby, MN) — Though the decisions may be difficult and grim, Healthcare Directives make sure that your medical decisions are taken care of in the event that you cannot speak for yourself.

We recently chatted with Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s Social Workers KariLee Pietz and Darlene Hendrickson and informed us on the initial steps of filling out a healthcare directive.

Pietz also mentioned key moments of reevaluating your Healthcare Directive to ensure its proper upkeep and making sure your healthcare agent is informed.

Hendrickson gave an overview of what an appointment of filling a healthcare directive and who would see this information.

The appointments take at most an hour to complete, with any questions that are asked to get the paperwork notarized. Choosing a proper healthcare agent is also a topic of constant discussion at the appointments.
