A bill that’s being discussed at the Minnesota State Capitol would stop your Social Security benefits from being taxed. State Senator Mark Johnson of East Grand Forks says he’s in favor of cutting that tax. Johnson was speaking on KRJB’s Kaleidoscope program, which airs weekday mornings at 9am.
Minnesota US Senator Tina Smith has introduced a bill that she says would keep foreign animal diseases from hurting agriculture producers. Smith was in Willmar Monday to hold a roundtable discussion on the farm bill, as well as bird flu.
