MAHNOMEN, MN—The Mahnomen County Historical Society has its next two Thursday Tickets planned.  Historical Society volunteer Terry Schoenborn has the details. Polk County Fair Plans For 2026

FERTILE, MN—Now that the 2025 Polk County Fair is over, Fair Board officials are thinking about next year’s fair.  Fair Board President Dan Grunhovd says 2026 will be a special year for the fair. Grunhovd thanked the volunteers who helped make this year’s Polk County Fair a success.

Dekko Center Pool Closed Wednesday

The Dekko Community Center Pool in Ada will be closed all day Wednesday, July 16.  This is so construction can begin on the hot tub.  There will be no morning water aerobics, no lap swim, swimming lessons are canceled and open swimming is also canceled on Wednesday.  The City of Ada apologizes for the inconvenience.

Polk County Fair Wrap-up

FERTILE, MN—The Polk County Fair finished its five day run on Sunday.  Polk County Fair Board President Dan Grunhovde spoke with R&J’s Sean Bjerk about the fair. Grunhovde says he’s not taking time off now that the fair is over.  He’s already working on the 2026 Polk County Fair.
