Crookston Inmate Death Update

New information is available about the death of an inmate at the Northwest Regional Correction Center in Crookston.  Back on February14, an inmate was found unresponsive in his cell.  The man had been arrested for a DWI in Norman County.  The final autopsy reports show the man’s death was a suicide by hanging.

Ulen-Hitterdal Open House Wednesday

Voters in the Ulen-Hitterdal School District are encouraged to attend an open house Wednesday night about next week’s referendum election.  Ulen-Hitterdal Dean of Students Ted Critchley has details on the open house. Three Mahnomen Area Farmers Receive Energy Efficiency Grants

Berhow Acquitted

A man from Fertile who was on trial for attempted murder and assault has been acquitted of all charges.  29-year-old Oliver Berhow was accused regarding a November 2021 shooting in Oklee.  Berhow was alleged to have shot Cody Landrus after Landrus confronted him with a baseball bat.  Landrus survived, despite being shot in the head. …
