BARNESVILLE, MN—If you’re planning to visit the Barnesville City offices on Friday, you’d better change your plans. At Monday’s Barnesville City Council meeting, the Council voted to shift from a five-day, eight hour per day work week to a four-day, ten hour per day work week…starting this week.  Barnesville City Administrator Jeremy Cossette talks about the change.

Cossette says there’s another factor in switching to a four day work week.

In other business at Monday’s Barnesville City Council meeting, the Council approved the purchase of new iPads and software for City employees; hired Michael Acker as Barnesville’s new water technician; and spoke about Red River Communications taking over as cable TV providers for the City of Barnesville…with Barnesville Cable set to shut down its operations at the end of April 2025.
