Basketball Injury May Sideline Burgum From GOP Presidential Debate
MILWAUKEE, WI—North Dakota Governor and presidential hopeful Doug Burgum was rushed to an emergency room in Milwaukee, the night before the first GOP presidential debate.
Gov. Burgum was taken to the hospital Tuesday for an injured leg suffered during a pick-up game of basketball with staff. His campaign manager says it’s unclear if the governor will be able to stand during the debate at this time. More information on his appearance is expected later today.
The debate will air tonight at 8 p.m. on Fox News.
Gov. Burgum qualified for this first presidential debate by securing a certain number of individual donors to his campaign and registering at least one percent in some key national polls.
