Be Bearwise this spring 

Spring has arrived in the Red River Valley, and that means you are likely to see more bears out and about. Minnesota DNR Wildlife Supervisor Rob Baden reminds people to be bearwise this spring, and take advantage of the DNR’s bearwise materials. 

If you do have a bear that’s encroaching on your property, Baden says you should do what you can to safely harass them, and scare them away. 

Baden says the current bear population also offers a good opportunity to partake in the upcoming bear hunting season.
