Beltrami County to vote on how County will fund $80 million Jail 

The residents of Beltrami County will be deciding how the $80 million county jail construction project will be funded today. Residents will have a simple yes or no option on whether Beltrami County will establish a .625% sales tax and use that extra tax to pay for construction and financing of the new jail. 

If the sales tax increase fails to pass a majority of the costs would be financed through increased property taxes for 30 years or until the bonds are retired, whichever comes first.
