Beware of Swimmer’s Itch 

A common activity to partake in during the independence day holiday is swimming. However some lakes across the region are reporting cases of Swimmer’s Itch. Nathan Olson of the Minnesota DNR Fisheries Department explains what swimmer’s itch is. 

If swimmer’s itch sounds like something you’d like to avoid, Olson shares some things you can do to prevent it. 

Olson says summer weather trends have made it a “weird year” for swimmer’s itch in the region, and he explains why.
