Brainerd Snow Emergency Details
–RELEASE–
The City of Brainerd has declared a SNOW EMERGENCY effective Tuesday, February 22, 2022. The parking ban and snow removal schedule is as follows.
- Parking is banned beginning at 4:00 AM on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 on the following streets and until the street is plowed from curb to curb*:
- All Snow Emergency Routes
- All north/south streets or streets that generally run north/south
- All streets west of the Mississippi River
- All Streets south of Wright Street
*Although parking is only banned on the above streets on Tuesday, the City will plow all City Streets on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.
- On Wednesday, February 23, 2022, parking is banned beginning at 4:00 AM. on the following streets**:
- All Snow Emergency Routes
- All east/west streets or streets that generally run east/west.
**Please note that if you are parked on an east/west street and don’t move your car to a north south street once it is plowed curb to curb on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, your vehicle will be plowed in by the plow driver. Please do your best to move your vehicle from the East/West Street to a North/South Street while the plows are out on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, and visa-versa on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.
Cars parked on Snow Emergency Routes will be ticketed and towed immediately.
If your vehicle is parked on a street during a parking ban, you will be issued a $25.00 parking citation. Vehicles that are not moved within 48 hours of being plowed around will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Downtown Snow Removal
Snow removal in the Downtown Business District will commence at 3:00 AM on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, and Wednesday, February 23, 2022. Parking will be banned on the following streets:
Front Street from South 6th Street to South 8th Street
Laurel Street from South 6th Street to South 8th Street
South 7th Street from Maple Street to Front Street
Parking is banned on streets until they have been plowed in their entirety. All vehicles parked in these locations will be ticketed and towed at the owners expense.
