In International Falls, the Broncos Girls Hockey team played their two-game series against Morris/Benson which began Friday with a tie as both teams’ defenses held strong 0-0 all the way to the end of the extra period. I spoke with Brenna Crosby after the first game.

The whole team poses for a photo after the victory.

Then, in Saturday’s game 2 against Morris-Benson, Addison Brown would score for the Broncos in the first 30 seconds of period 1. The visiting Storm would eventually respond with their own goal 5 minutes into the second, but neither team would score in the 3rd leading to a second overtime in a row 1-1. It wouldn’t take long though as Tirzah Carradice would be assisted by Addison Brown in scoring the gamewinner 45 seconds into the extra period. I spoke with Tirzah and asked her to walk us through that moment.

Apologies for the technical difficulties.

The Varsity team will be back on the ice on Friday where they’ll make a trip to Detroit Lakes for a 6pm puck drop. Meanwhile, the Broncos Girls JV team will head across the border tonight to take on the Muskies in a JV Border Battle at 8:25pm. Puck drop is in the Ice For Kids Arena.
